- The purpose of this study was to describe the use of instructional media, the development of Android-based mobile learning as well as the utilization and impact of its application as a medium of learning in increasing comprehension and learning outcomes at first semester. The method used is the method of research and development (R&D) with adapting research procedures Dick & Carey. It begins with an analysis of instructional, analysis of learners and context, formulate performance goals development research instrument, develop learning strategies, developing and selecting materials and developing and evaluating formative and summative. To obtain a decent android media used in the first study validated by expert content and media experts. Furthermore, the student tested media covering the trial of small group and large group trials. Test subjects were students of first grade at Junior High School, amounting to 40 people. Results of the assessment / validation show that (1) validation of learning materials experts are on a good qualifications with a mean of 70,8 (2) validation of instructional media experts are at excellent qualifications with an average 3,6 (3) small group trial was the very qualifications well with the average of 75,9 and (4) the trial court is in a good qualifications with a mean of 74,5
