  • The purpose of this study was to determine the difference between the learning outcomes of students who obtain contextual learning and conventional learning in terms of the level of motivation, to see the interaction between the learning and motivation on learning outcomes Geography. The subjects in this study were students at SMAN 7 Kota Tangerang Selatan Academic Year 2015/2016 as the population and the sample is class XI IPS SMAN 7 Kota Tangerang Selatan taken with simple random technique. The test instrument used in this study is the achievement test Geography and Motivation Questionnaire with Likert scale. Analysis of the data used in this study is a 2X2 factorial ANOVA Two Way. Based on the analysis at a significance level of 5% obtained the following results: (1) there are differences in geography learning outcomes between students who received conventional contextual learning and teaching; (2) there are differences in learning outcomes between students who have high motivation and low motivation; (3) There are interaction between learning and motivation on learning outcomes Geography; (4) there is a difference between the learning outcomes of students who get a contextual learning and conventional learning in terms of high motivation; (5) there are differences in learning outcomes among students who learn a contextual learning and conventional learning in terms of low motivation; (6) there are differences in learning outcomes between students who have high motivation and low motivation in the group of students who get a contextual learning; (7) there are differences in learning outcomes between students who have high motivation and low motivation in the group of students who received conventional learning.
