- This research was motivated by the low average score of civic education subjects and students are less active in learning civic education in SMAN 1 panggarangan. The research was aimed to find out the influence of the method of guided inquiry learning and emotional intelligence of student to lear physics results in material quatities and unit class X SMAN 1 Panggarangan. Population of the research was four classes and two classes were taken randomly as sample. One class was taken as experimental group and the other as a control group. It was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 panggarangan which is located in sukajadi and panggarangan sub district. The research was conducted in odd semester of academic year 2015/2016. The method was used is experimental. The data was gained by using a questionnaire to measure critical thinking skill and achievement test with multiple choice questions as much as 23 numbers. For the statistical hypothesis testing, the research used ANOVA two way with the processing of the data using Microsoft Excel 2007. 1) learning outcomes of guided inquiry is better than using a conventional (lecture) (Fhit 36,772 > Ftab 4,09), 2) students with high emotional intelligence is better than students with low emotional intelligence (Fhit 36,772 > Ftab 4,09), 3) there is no significant interaction between the guided inquiry and emotional intelligence on learning achievement (Fhit 36,772 > Ftab 4,09) . 4) students’ learning achievement in guided inquiry high emotional intelligence is higher than the conventional method of high intelligence (Fhit 7,00 > Ftab 4,35). 5) students’ learning achievement in the guided inquiry method of high emotional intelligence is higher than the conventional method of low emotional intelligence (Fhit 4,360 > Ftab 4,35). 6) students’ learning achievement in the guided inquiry method of high emotional intelligence is higher than the guided inquiry low emotional intelligence (Fhit 7,760 > Ftab 4,35). 7) students’ learning achievement in the conventional method of high emotional intelligence there is no significant difference with the conventional method of low emotional intelligence (Fhit 3,988 < Ftab 4,35)
