- The research was conducted in the District of SDN Cibaliung 04 Pandeglangļæ½Banten. Subject of research is the students of class IVB by the number of 22 students. Values obtained students do not reach the standards set school is 65. The values obtained are not suitable due to low student interest in studentsā social studies. One of the reasons for the absence of applied learning models by teachers in the classroom. Generally, teachers are using the passive lecture so that students act in the learning process. So it makes the students become less interested in participating in social studies. Purpose of this study was (1) to improve student learning activies through Discovery Learning model in social studies (2) to improve student learning outcomes through a model of Discovery Learningin social studies. The method used is the PTK was done in two cycles, each cycle consisting of : planning, action, observation and reflection. Nomina were collected using a test, and observation. The results showed that: by using the model of discovery learning can improve the learning activities of students and improve learning outcomesof students in social science subjects. Learning activities for students in cycle 1 that is 70,36% experience increased to 86,40% at the end of the second cycle. While the results uf the student learning experience increased from cycle 1 to cycle II that is 58.18% increased to 81,36% at the end of the second cycle.
