  • The research objective is to: (1) Determine the design of contextual learning with media card numbers in improving numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years in RA Nurul Ikhlas Kramatwatu Serang. (2) Determine the implementation of the card game figures to improve numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years in RA Nurul Ikhlas Kramatwatu Serang. (3) Knowing the characteristics of the cognitive numeracy skills, especially in children aged 5-6 years through the implementation of contextual learning model. (4) Knowing the process of improvement of numeracy skills of children aged 5-6 years after the implementation of contextual learning model with the use of the media card numbers in RA Nurul Ikhlas Kramatwatu Serang.Subjek research is children aged 5-6 years were 17 children, consisting of nine women and 8 men. Location of the study in RA Nurul Ikhlas Comp. Pegadingan Permai Kramatwatu Serang. When the study began on June 6th until July 11th 2016. The research methodology uses classroom action research model of John Elliot includes four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. This study was conducted over three siklus.Hasil study showed improved cognitive ability of children to count 1-20, can pair emblem numbers with objects, and can match the numbers. This can be demonstrated in the achievement of numeracy for the first cycle reached 56.8% in cycle II reached 68.5%, and the third cycle reached 81.5% .Temuan findings from the first cycle to the third cycle is the need for creativity and innovation teachers in learning to the learning objectives can be achieved, the need for the use of media in learning, especially learning cognitive learning activities more attractive so that the interests of children, encourage children to make an agreement on the rules of play card numbers, and the need for cooperation in the activities of the study groups. It can be concluded that the use of the media card numbers with contextual learning can improve a child's ability to count in group B in RA Nurul Ikhlas Kramatwatu Serang.
