  • This research aims to improve learning out comes and enhance the activity of reading Quran learning through the use of visual media drawing on the lessons of Islamic religious education in the public school classroom 2 Sindangsari Petir.The study subjects were all students in grade 2 Elementary School Sindangsari consisting of 9 students and 11 female students. It is motivated by passive daability to read the Qur'an low students and learning activities of students who in learning the Quran in the subject caused by Islamic Religious Education learning method is still traditional, centered on lectures and memorization.The research a Classroom Action Research.This study conducted as many as 3 cycles. To improve learning out comes and enhance the activity of reading Quran learning through the use of visual media in the Islamic religious education classes held each cycle.In the first cycle testresults ofthe abilityto read the Qur'an shows the averag value of the first cycle is 69.7 with 50% of students achieving scores above average results Krteria Completeness Maximum. The ability to read the Qur'an in the second cycleis 71.3 or 60% of students scored above Krteria Completeness Maximum and averages the ability to read the Qur'an in the third cyclewas83.2with80% of pupils achievegradesabove Krteria Completeness Maximum. In the first cycle learning activities in the category enough, with an average of 55.4%, it has shown a good learning activity as abase line in cycle I. In the second cycle students' learning activities are still in the category of Self, but in creased the percentage value 58%.Student learning activities reached 63% and is in good category.Based on the description can be drawn a conclusion that through the use of visual media images can improve learning out comes recite the Qur'an and increases the activity of the lessons learned in Islamic religious education in public elementary school grade 2 Sindangsari.
