- This research was aimed at teaching writing narrative text by using sequence picture at the eighth grade students‟ of SMP Negeri 2 Cilegon in the academic year of 2015/2016. This research used case study. The subject of the research was the students of VIII E class. Therefore, the researcher used observation, questionnaire and interview as the instruments to collect the data. The results in this research showed that: the students could produce narrative texts systematically, with appropriate of vocabulary, and sentence structure. Based on the result of questionnaire and interview, the teacher and students also had good responses in learning writing by using sequence picture. The students enthusiastically joined the teaching and learning process. It means that sequence picture was successful in teaching writing narrative text at the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Cilegon.
