- Human needs against food crops will always increase with the population. One of the efforts to maintain the availability of food is to increase the productivity of rice cropping systems through jajar legowo 4:1 plant system. Kramatwatu Subdistrict is an area in the Serang Regency that has implemented a system of jajar legowo 4:1 since in 2010. The purpose of this research is to know the level of rice-field farmers adoption on jajar legowo 4:1 plant system, knowing the relation of internal factors, external factors and factor characteristics of innovation with level of rice-field farmers on jajar legowo 4:1 plant system in Kramatwatu Subdistrict. The method used was a survey method, with the specified research location deliberately. The analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis, a weighted value technique and inferensial analysis (Rank Spearman). The system of jajar legowo 4:1 in subdistrict Kramatwatu included in the low category i.e. of 33,88%. The internal factor is land area, land tenure, activity of searching for information, the courage of taking risks, and long experience have a relation with the level of rice-field farmers adoption on jajar legowo 4:1 plant system. External factors communication medium, the intensity of the support extension, extension, agency support farmers groups and the support of the means of production have a relation to the level of rice-field farmers adoption on jajar legowo 4:1 plant system. Innovation characteristics factors relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialibility and observability have a relation to the level of rice-field farmers adoption on jajar legowo 4:1 plant system.
