- The congestion occurred in the city of Cilegon one of which is at the road junction that connects the direction Bojonegara, Southern Cross PCI and Toll Gate East Cilegon. At the road junction is the frequent occurrence of long traffic jam when a busy time (peak hour). According to the results of discussions with the transportation department that was in place, congestion occurs cause by several factors, that it is due to the narrow roads, damaged roads and public transport stop at side of the road. The purpose of this research is to determine the length of the waiting congestion on the existing situation in the road junction of Toll Gate East Cilegon and designing the proposed improvements to reduce congestion at the road junction of Toll Gate East Cilegon. The software used in this research is by ProModel Student Version. Can be obtained from excisting simulation has been designed, that is: The largest entities experiencing congestion is on Bojonegara’s road, and obtained the maximum congestion at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. By so holding three proposed improvements, that is: To regulation public transportation on the path toward the PCI. Regulation public transportation on the path towards the Toll and Widen roads contained in Bojonegara path. And the combination of the two alternatives, that is, to regulation public transportation on the path towards the PCI and Tol, as well as widen the road on Bojonegara. By doing so, the proposed improvements that have been obtained, that is the proposed improvements 3. In consequence, that is: Paving the way for road widening Bojonegara, regulation by the public transport drivers to be more orderly with traffic regulations are waiting for passengers in the Terminal Seruni Cilegon. And police officers to more firmly against traffic regulations that have been published to the public who use private transport or public transport.
