- Presence is a process to record the activity of a person in an institution. Computer applications developed in the presence system is used to recognize a person's face with a camera without specifying background colors. The aims of this research is to determine the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of an algorithm based image Eigenface. Eigenface value is obtained based on the image of the webcam and also the pixel information in the image. Furthermore, the image is represented using PCA (Principal Componet Analysis) method and the image detected by extracting the expression and use of accessories in the face area. Presence system in this research has been successfully carried out various tests such as testing of expression, accessories, distance, and background colors are free. The research successfully reached a value is 73.33% for sensitivity, 52.17% for species, and 86.67% for accuracy. Whereas, for identification at a distance is 70%, the use of goggles and scarf accessories is 85%, and the process of identification with various expression is 85.33%.
