  • Industrial development and their production always produce waste that give problem for our environtment. The impact will appear, such as heavy metal pollution, either one of them is lead. we need a method to decrease that concenrtration in our environment. Today, rice husk Adsorbent is a methode that can solve it. This research do to get rice husk characteristics and their influence with activation process and adsorbent particle size to lead ion (Pb) using UV-VIS Spectrophotometric. This methode including make rice husk carbon, carbon chemical activation process, make Pb(CH3COO) 2 solution, and adsorption analysis, BET, and SEM. Variation variables are particle adsorbent size 40,60,80 mesh and kind of activator HCl 0,1 M, NaOH 0,1 M and without activator. From this research we know that rice husk adsorbent can adsorb lead ion until 99%, with particle size of adsorbent is 80 mesh and kind of activator is HCl 0.1 M. Lead ion adsorption process occur in monolayer film follow with langmuir equation. Keyword : Adsorption, Rice Husk Adsorbent, Adsorption Isotherm Freundlich and Langmuir
