  • The research was aimed to determine the response of plant growth and tuber yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) zero generation (G0) to the plant spacing various of two varieties. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden Margahayu Lembang, Vegetable Research Institute with the altitude of ±1.250 m above sea level from Mei until September 2015 use Randomized Completely Block Design with two factors. The first factor was variety with two levels namely: Variety of Granola and Variety of Andina. The second factor was plant spacing with three levels namely: 5 cm x 5 cm, 6 cm x 6 cm dan 7 cm x 7 cm. Parameters measured were plant hight, canopy width, stolon total each sample, tuber total each sample, tuber weight each sample and tuber weight each plot. The result showed that the Granola varieties gave the best effect to the parameters of plant hight (33,19 cm), canopy width (28,03 cm), stolon total each sample (6,55 pieces), tuber total each sample (3,45 pieces), tuber weight each sample (13,37 g) and tuber weight each plot (532,33 g). Plant spacing showed non significant on parameters plant height and canopy width, but significant on the plant spacing 5 cm x 5 cm to the parameters stolon total each sample until 7,86 pieces, tuber total each sample until 3,72 pieces, tuber weight each plot until 540,00 g and plant spacing of 7 cm x 7 cm to parameter tuber weight each sample until 16,42 g. There was no interaction between plant spacing and two varieties to all parameters observed.
