- Cycloconverter is power electrics circuit that can change the value of voltage and frequency. Cycloconverter circuit is built by 8 units of scr (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) and triggered by two IC phase control (IC TCA 785) which is switch alternately by atmega 16. Beside producing triggering signal for scr, IC phase control is used to control output voltage of cycloconverter. Atmega 16 ia also used to control frequency. Cycloconverter is used to synchronized power plant. To synchronized, cycloconverter have some conditions such as voltage, frequency and phase between power plant must have same value. Cycloconverter can control output voltage from power plant and can be synchronized although the value of output voltage between power plant is not same. In this research, also discuss about output power of cycloconverter with incandescent lamps as load. We can see load current, source current that produced by cycloconverter, so power efficiency from cycloconverter’s output can be shown. Power between both power plan during synchronized will be discussed in this research
