Advisor Arenawati S.sos, M.si Tourism has a high enough to foreign exchange revenue country and by the government so that reason to pay attention to tourism sector. Much effort undertaken by governments to tourism sector development, one of them is the development and preservation of cultural heritage tourism destination Banten Lama conducted by Disbudpar Banten Province, but so far the condition of old banten not have infrastructure, facility inadequate. The purpose of this research is to know the strategic plan for the development and preservation of Banten Lama tourist destinations in the Disbudpar of Banten Province. The research on the theory of decline dotted aspects to note in strategic planning from Fred R David. We based the research used a qualitative explanatory approach is the method and technique of data collection is done through observation and interview study documentation. The validity of the data obtained by means of triangulation data. The result showed that the implementation of the strategic plan for the development and preservation of cultural heritage tourism destination Banten Lama yet either Disbudpar Banten Province just prioritized Banten Lama in the 2012-2017 renstra, but in its implementation since the 2012-2017 has been no activities towards the development of Banten Lama due to problems of leadhership, authority and budget issue.
