  • The purpose of this research was to explore and determine the potential of antagonists Bacillus sp. from paddy rhizosfer against leaf spot (Curvularia sp.) disease in vitro. The research was conducted in the laboratory of Agroekologi, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University on January to April 2016. The research implemented experimental one factor that arranged in Completely Randomized Design with five replication. The treatment consisted of 5 isolates of Bacillus sp. which was screened from rhizosfer roots of paddy plants. The tested results showed antagonistic in vitro tested could inhibit the growth Curvularia sp. inhibit of 5 isolates to the growth Bacillus sp. had the significant clear zone. Isolates had been done transformation twice, BR 10 (2,61%), BR 11 (3,02%), BR 12 (2,65%), BR 17 (3,13%), and BR 20 (2,91%) have a large inhibition. The research showed that the bacteria Bacillus sp. is potential on controlled leaf spot disease in paddy plant.
