- To supply the needs for a balanced and proper nutrition in the household, it would require a technology that combines fish farming with plant cultivation. One of the right technology is aquaponics. Aquaponics is an integrated food production technologies that can minimize the nitrogen waste from metabolic of fish through integration hydroponic crop production system aquaculture systems. The study was aimed to find out the effect of different time in planting fish on aquaponics system through growth and yield of broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. Lucky). This study had been conducted in January to May 2015 in Rarahan district Cipanas, Cianjur. The study was arranged by Randomized Block Design (RBD) that consisted of five replications. The treatment was different time in planting fish with W1 = the time of planting fish on day, W2 = the time of planting fish on day 5, W3 = the time of planting fish day 10, W4 = the time planting fish on day 15 and W5 = the time of planting fish day 20. The result showed that the treatment time of planting fish at day 10 (W3) had given real effect to height, stem diameter, number of leaves, flower diameter, flower fresh weight and shoot dry weight. While for the parameters of root dry weight and shoot root ratio was not significant.
