- Rice is the main food commodity has high value. It requires serious treatment to increase its productivity value. To extend the rice productivity value, farmers apply the innovation in their farming technology. One of these innovations is Jajar Legowo (extended row-based) planting system. This research was aimed to describe the characteristics of Jajar legowo farmers and to analyse their perception toward jajar legowo planting system in Pagelaran Village. The method that was applied in this research was survey method. The number of respondents was 89 people chosen randomly using simple random sampling. The research data was divided into primary and secondary data. The primary data was gathered from questionnaires and interviews with the respondents. The secondary data was obtained from government office and related agency that support the data research. The result of the research, it showed that farmers’ perception toward jajar legowo planting system was categorized as good category which scored 65,10 or 77,5 %. The result shown above, it can be concluded that farmers’ perception toward jajar legowo planting system was catagorised in good criteria.
