- Key words :Analysis, Writing Ability The aim of this research is to find out how is the students‟ writing ability in sentence classification at the eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Sragen in the academic year 2015/2016. This research is to analyze the students‟ writing ability in sentence classification at the eleventh grade students‟of MAN 1 Sragen in the academic year 2015/2016. The research was carried out MAN 1 Sragen in May 2016. The research method was qualitative design. This research was held at MAN 1 Sragen. The subject of the research is the eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Sragen, consist of 36 students. In collecting the data, researcher used students‟ worksheets as data source. The researcher used kind of technique in analyzing data by using data analyzing reading the data, classifying element writing, categorizing data. The data wasanalyzed based on Glass (2005) there are following five steps: (1) idea/contents, (2) organization, (3) word choices, (4) sentence fluency, and (5) conventions. From five categories above there are some criteria for scoring writing such as; excellent, good, fair, poor and very poor. And the last is drawing conclusion. From the research finding, the researcher found the result of An Analysis on the Students‟ Writing Ability at The Eleventh Grade Students. The result of the research shows that: 1) there is content (7 students) and organization (6 students) that include as excellent category; 2) there is students‟ sentence fluency (10 students) and word choice (4 students) include as very poor category.
