Keywords: Legal Protection, Labor, Labor Protection, Placement of Indonesia. The work has a very important meaning in people’s lives. So everyone is in need of a job. However, in reality, the limitations will be jobs in the country caused a large number of citizens of Indonesia/TKI seeking jobs abroad. The departure of the TKI overseas shows that there is an improvement in terms of the level of family economy, but a good condition is also coupled with the condition who do not wear the TKI which threatened both physically and psychologically at the places she worked. This study aims to determine how the protection and placement of migrant workers according to Law No.39 of 2004 on the Protection and Placement of Indonesian Migrant Workers Abroad. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. In conducting this research in terms of methods, using a synthesis between the research literature. Library research (library research) by making use of documentation - documentation in the form of books, research results, journals, brochures, leaflets, bulletins and the Internet. The results showed that 1) the factors causing the applicants as prospective workers are not in accordance with established procedures. 2) Office of Manpower and Transmigration is responsible for the supervision of the Foreign Employment (PTKLN) as a form of legal protection given to workers.
