Skripsi ini berawal dari Syariah Hotel Solo yang mendapatkan Nominator 
Anugrah Pariwisata Halal pada tahun 2016. Nominator atau penghargaan yang 
didapat berupa penghargaan jenis usaha yang menerapkan prinsip – prinsip Islam. 
Banyaknya hotel yang ada di Solo, menimbulkan persaingan di bidang perhotelan. 
Hal ini membuat Syariah Hotel Solo dengan hotel yang lain berlomba untuk 
mendapatkan kepercayaan publik. Dengan banyaknya Hotel yang ada di Solo 
membuat pihak Hotel selalu melaukan inovasi dan meningkatkan mutu sumber daya 
manusia untuk mempertahankan citra perusahaan khususnya citra halal tourism di 
syariah hotel solo. Oleh karena itu, penulis tertarik untuk meneliti bagaimana strategi 
public relations yang digunakan. Judul penelitian ini adalah “Strategi Public 
Relations Dalam Mempertahankan Citra Halal Tourism Di Syariah Hotel Solo”. 
Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode 
deskriptif yaitu dengan melakukan penelitian langsung, melakukan observasi secara 
mendalam, serta menggambarkan dan menyajikan fakta yang ada di lapangan. 
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Citra Halal Tourism di Syariah Hotel Solo 
yang sudah positif dapat tetap dipertahankan. Public relations syariah hotel solo 
semakin gencar melakukan kegiatan yang digunakan dalam mempertahankan citra. 
Strategi yang dilakukan oleh public relations adalah dengan human relations, 
community relations, serta media relations. Public relations menjalin hubungan 
dengan berbagai kalangan. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mempertahankan citra, 
disamping itu hubungan yang baik disemua kalangan akan membawa citra positif 
perusahaan. Kegiatan tersebut berupa kegiatan eksternal dan internal. Kegiatan 
eksternal berupa hubungan dengan masyarakat sekitar hotel, hubungan dengan media 
dan komunitas yang ada di solo. Kegiatan internalnya berupa menjaga hubungan 
sesama karyawan, meningkatkan tentang ilmu keagamaan yang setiap satu bulan 
sekali diadakan pengajian dan qataman al-quran, hal ini bertujuan untuk 
meningkatkan keilmuan di bidang keagamaan pada setiap karyawan guna 
mempertahankan citra halal tourism di syariah hotel solo.

This Thesis is conducted because Syariah Hotel Solo won Award Nominator 
of Halal Tourism in 2016. The nominator or award gained is an award of business 
which applies Islamic principles. There are many hotels in Solo which cause a tough 
competition in hotel industry. Syariah Hotel Solo, no exception , has to compete with 
other hotels to win public trust. Therefore, to meet this challenge, Syariah Hotel Solo 
tries to create some innovations and increase the quality of human resource to 
maintain the image of the company, especially in halal tourism image. Hence, the 
writer is interested in observing what strategies of public relation are used in this 
company. The aim of this research is to understand what public relation strategies are 
used to maintain halal tourism image in Syariah Hotel Solo. 
This study is based on a qualitative research by using descriptive method that 
is conducted by direct research and complete observation to describe and present 
facts on the field. 
The result of this research is that Halal Tourism Image of Syariah Hotel Solo 
can be positively maintained. The Public Relation of Syariah Hotel Solo incessantly 
conducts some efforts or activities to maintain this image. Strategies used by Public 
Relation are human relations, community relations and media relations. To maintain 
its positive image in public, Public Relation of Syariah Hotel Solo creates good 
relations with many public circles. The activities done by public relation are divided 
into external and internal ones. The external activities include the relation between 
hotel and the surrounding society, relation with media and relation with communities 
in Solo. Where as, the internal activities include the maintenance of relation among 
its employees, and increasing religious insights of its employees by conducting some 
religious activities so they can maintain or even improve its Halal Tourism image in 
Syariah Hotel Solo.
