The aims of this research is to find out whether the implementation of Mime Game and use of Mime Game can improve the stuednts‟ writing skill in learning English at the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ngemplak in 2016/2017 academic year. This is a Classroom Action Research. The research was carried out at SMP N 1 Ngemplak from Januari untilMay 2017. Here, the researcher takes the data from the second semester students VIII Bas the sample of the research. The class VIII Bconsists of 32 students. The research was carries out in two cycles, in the first cycle there were three meetings and in the cycle two there were three meeting also.every cycle consists of three steps; planning, implementing, and reflection. The data were in the from of qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were collected from observation, interviews, field note and photographs. At the pre-observation, it was found that the students had dificulties in: (1) explore their ideas; (2) organizing rhe text; (3) producing grammaically correct sentences; (4) choosing proper word in writing; (5) use mechanic. The quantitative data were collected from the score of pre-test and post-test. the pre-test was conducted before the action and post-test after the action. The researcher analyzed the mean score of each test to find out the improvement of students‟ writing skill after the action was conducted. The researcher findings showed that Mime Game could improve students‟ writing skill and the class situation during the teaching learning process. It could be seen from the result ot the test which improved. The mean score of the pre-test was 66.6, the mean of score of the post-test cycle 1 was 74.3 and the mean score of the post-test cylce 2 was 79.4. After the students implement the Mime Game, the students got the stimulus about certain topics so that they could easily organize the ideas into a descriptive text based on the picture given. The students could produce grammar the correct sentences. Students had liltle confusion in vocabulary and the last the students could use mechanic (punctuation and speeling) The researcher hopes that the findings of this research can enrich the teachers‟ technique in improving students‟ writing skill and enrich the knowledge and experience for other researchers and readers.
