  • Abstract This study aims at determine (1) the effect of learning motivation on student achievement of grade IX MTs Miftahul 'Ulum Matesih school year 2012/2013, (2) the effect of creativity on student achievement of grade IX MTs Miftahul' Ulum Matesih school year 2012/2013, (3) the effect of learning motivation and creativity together to class IX student achievement MTs. Miftahul 'Ulum Matesih school year 2012/2013. This research was a quantitative study. This research was conducted in MTs Miftahul 'Ulum Matesih. The population in this study were all students of class IX MTs Miftahul 'Ulum Matesih school year 2012/2013. Based on existing data, the number of students were 47. Sample members were mostly members of a population of 47. Samples were taken with a total sampling technique. Methods of data collection used a questionnaire to variable learning motivation and creativity, while learning applied achievement variables used the value of report cards. Test instruments performed validity and reliability testing. Tests performed with the prerequisite normality test, the significance of linearity and regression, and test the independence of the independent variables. Hypothesis testing used a single correlation good correlation (partial) and multiple. The results of this study: motivation of learning effect on student achievement as evidenced by the relative contribution value of 0.687> 0.05 and the effective contribution of 0.320> 0.05. Creativity affects on student achievement as indicated by the relative contribution of 0.314> 0.05 and the effective contribution of 0.146> 0.05. Motivation to learn and creativity jointly influence on student achievement as evidenced by the relative contribution value of 1.0 (0.687 + 0.314)> 0.05 and the effective contribution of 0.466 (0.320 + 0.146)> 0.05.
