Efforts to obtain malaparian genetic resources with high productivity are a challenge for malaparian breeding. This study aims to analyze the morphological character pod and seed from the malaparian provenance test plot at KHDTK Parungpanjang by calculating: (a) the diversity of provenance data based on the pod and seed phenotypic, (b) the correlation between pod and seed phenotypic characters, and (c) genetic influence on pod and seed phenotype. A total of 200 pods were collected from 4 provenances (Alas Purwo, Bangka, Batu Karas, and Carita). The pod and seed characters measured included length, width, thickness, weight, and the ratio of width to thickness. Correlation between characters is calculated based on Pearson correlation. The estimation was analyzed by calculating the coefficient of variance of the genotype. Studies on divergence calculated by Principal Component Analysis and cluster analysis. The results showed that all phenotypic of malapari pods and seeds were significantly different between provenances except for the ratio of width to thickness of pods. Bangka provenance was the provenance with the best pod and seed phenotypic characters. Correlation occurs only in each character of pods and seeds so it is not possible to predict each other. Most of the characteristics of pods and seeds are more influenced by genetic factors than the environment, which is indicated by the higher value of genetic diversity. Based on the characteristics of the pods and seeds of the 4 provenances tested, there were 3 groups, namely Alas Purwo provenance, Batu Karas, and Carita provenance group and the Bangka provenance.Keywords: Provenance, Pongamia pinnata, domestication, pod, seedABSTRAKMalapari merupakan tanaman serbaguna yang dimanfaatkan terutama untuk biofuel dan obat. Upaya untuk memperoleh sumber daya genetik malapari dengan produktivitas tinggi menjadi tantangan pemuliaan malapari. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakter morfologi polong dan biji yang dihasilkan dari plot uji provenan malapari di KHDTK Parungpanjang dengan menghitung: (a) data keragaman provenan berdasarkan fenotipe polong dan biji, (b) korelasi antara karakter fenotipe polong dan biji; dan (c) pengaruh genetik terhadap fenotipe polong dan biji. Sebanyak 200 polong dikoleksi dari empat provenan (Alas Purwo, Bangka, Batu Karas dan Carita). Karakter polong dan biji yang diukur meliputi panjang, lebar, tebal, berat dan rasio lebar tebal. Korelasi antar karakter dihitung berdasarkan korelasi Pearson. Estimasi genetik dianalisis melalui penghitungan koefisien varian genotipe. Pola keragaman antar provenan diketahui dengan menggunakan metode analisis komponen utama (PCA) dan analisis klaster. Hasil studi menunjukkan seluruh karakter fenotipe polong dan biji malapari berbeda nyata antar provenan, kecuali pada rasio antara lebar dan tebal polong. Provenan Bangka merupakan provenan dengan karakter fenotipe polong dan biji terbaik. Korelasi hanya terjadi antar karakter polong dengan karakter polong lainnya dan antar karakter biji dengan karakter biji lainnya, sehingga tidak dapat untuk menduga satu sama lain. Sebagian besar karakter polong dan biji lebih dipengaruhi faktor genetik dibanding lingkungan yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai keragaman genetik yang lebih tinggi.
