THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING DISCOVERY LEARNING TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL (A True Experimental Reseach At The Eleventh Grade Of Smk Roudlotul Mubtadiin Balekambang Jepara)

- This study was a true experimental study consisting of two variables. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of discovery learning to improve the speaking ability of SMK Roudlotul Mubtadiin Balekambang Jepara in academic year 2021/2022. The conclusions are based on the analysis of observation, pre-test and post-test. This research is conducted in XI TAV and XI TKRO 2. As a result, the use of discovery learning to improve the speaking ability of grade 11 students of SMK Roudlotul Mubtadiin Balekambang Jepara has had significant effects, as shown by the results of independent sample tests. The result of the significant difference is 3,302, and based on the result, sig 3.302> 2.056 (5% significance level). This means that the alternative hypothesis 〖(H〗_a) is accepted and the null hypothesis 〖(H〗_(0 )) is rejected. Therefore, it can be explained that the use of discovery learning was effective in improving the speaking ability of SMK Roudlotul Mubtadiin Balekambang Jepara's 11th grade students.
