THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CARTOON FILM AS MEDIUM IN TEACHING WRITING SKILL (A Quasi Experimental Study at the Tenth Grade Students of MA Masalikil Huda Tahunan Jepara in Academic Year of 2018/2019)

- The purpose of this study is to get empirical evidence of the effectiveness cartoon Film as medium in teaching writing skill. This study was held in September at MA Masalikil Huda Tahunan Jepara. The method used in this study was quantitative method in the design of quasi experimental study. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random technique sampling. Two classes were taken as the subjects of this study namely experimental class and control class. The data got from both experimental class and controlled class that were analyzed by using T-test formula. The result of this study was compared and proved that there are any significant results between before and after given treatment in experimental and control group. It could be seen that the post test scores were better than the pre-test scores. The mean of experimental was 40,63 (pre-test) and 88 (post-test) and the mean for control group was 45,72 (pre-test0 and 60,63 (post-test) the calculation showed that in the significance degree of 5%, the value of t-test (to)>t-table (tt) (0,468> 0,4044). According to the criteria of the test, the result showed that there is a significance difference between in writing achievement of students who are taught using cartoon film and those who are not.It means that cartoon film is effective and applicable at the tenth grade students of social science class at MA Masalikil Huda Tahunan Jepara.
