- The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems : 1) How do overview Performance indicators education in South Sulawesi?, 2) Is the education sector spending growth affect the improvement of Performance indicators education in South Sulawesi? The method used in this research is quantitative analysis using the equation of panel data. Source of data used in the study using secondary data analysis unit as many as 23 districts/municipalities in South Sulawesi with the last 10 years (2003-2014). The results showed that : 1) Growth of spending the education sector during the last 10 years experienced a significant increase or an average growth of 4%-5% per year; 2) Growth production education Performance by average old school (RLS) in South Sulawesi during the last 10 years is constantly increasing. However, growth reached only 2%-3% in each district/city in South Sulawesi. The gains of education in average length of school (RLS) has only reached 7.6 years, or at the level of grade 2 junior; 3) Increasing the portion of the education sector expenditure has a significant influence on the Performance enhancement Proxy for education Performance Average Length of School (RLS).
