The subjects were students in grade VIII D SMPN 1 East Sinjai academic year 2015/2016. Procedures classroom action research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisting of four meetings. From the second cycle is a series of interrelated activities. At each cycle is held three times face to face meeting and the meeting measurement of Science Process Skills (KPS) to see an increase in science process skills of learners. This study is successful if the students in the classical obtain an average value of science process skills of 60. The results showed science process skills of students in the first cycle and the second cycle is 58.73 77.62. Based on the indicators of the success of the study was halted in the second cycle having already meet or exceed the specified indicators of success.&#xD; &#xD; Keywords :Discovery Learning; Authentic Assessment, Science Process Skills&#xD; &#xD; ABSTRAK:&#xD; Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 1 Sinjai Timur Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 melalui implementasi discovery learningdan penilaian autentik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 1 Sinjai Timur tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan disetiap siklus terdiri dari empat pertemuan. Dari kedua siklus ini merupakan rangkaian kegiatan yang saling berkaitan. Pada setiap siklus diadakan tatap muka sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan dan satu pertemuan pengukuran Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) untuk melihat peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini dikatakan berhasil apabila peserta didik secara klasikal memperoleh nilai rata-rata keterampilan proses sains sebesar 60. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada siklus I adalah 58,73 dan siklus II 77,62.
