- This Community Service aims at helping students of the English Department FBS UNM to write description paragraphs by using pictures. The presentation material consists of the concepts of writing comprehension and the use of pictures as media to write description paragraphs in English in various themes in writing descriptions of people, objects, and places. The methods used are lecturing, discussion, assignment, training, evaluation, and feedback. The result of this training is that students of English Department have high enthusiasm and motivation in learning English particularly in writing description paragraphs. Moreover, the Training of Writing Description paragraphs by Using Pictures as Media can improve students' ability to write description paragraphs, individually, in pairs, or in groups.
