- Abstract: A. muricata Linn is one of tropical plant that can be used as traditional drugs, especially for against cancer. The aim of this research is to isolated and to know the characteristic of secondary metabolite compounds from the n-hexane extract of A. muricarta Linn leaves. The fractionation was done by KKV and was obtained 16 fractions with 5 main fractions. Based on TLC analysis with three elluent system and it had been concluded that compound had been pure. The research result show that compound is orange crystal and positive steroid from Liebermen Burchard test by giving a green blue color. Based on data from UV-Vis, IR, and GC-MS this compound was assumed as steroid.
