- Abstract: Pterospermum subpeltatum C.B. Rob or bayur js plant include the family Sterculiaceae, which have never studied its secondary metabolite compound. But others species from this genus been used for generation as traditional medicine. P. javanicum used to treatdysentery, toothaches, and ulcers. From antibacterial test that was done on some tissues of Pteropermum subpeltatum by diffusion and dilution methods. The research result showed the extract methanol root wood having potential as antibacterial particulary to the E. coli.
