Design of this research is the development from Borg and Gall Models (2003) (E), which includes the stages of needs analysis and expert validation. The research was conducted in the city of Makassar with the object of research is a teacher and high school students. The results of the needs analysis with the use of focus group discussion (FGD) shows that on average the coenselor education difficulty in helping students in the choosing of majors, the instrument used is still manual, take a long time, and the cost is not small. From the analysis of the needs assessment was developed further career applications in the form of a student's academic interests scale that can be used to help students in the choosing of majors in high school. Applications generated in the validation by experts in the form of instructional technology experts and psychologists.
