  • This study aims to determine the use of audiovisual media in learning speaking skill and to describe the use of audiovisual media in developing the speaking skill of children in kindergartens. This study provides an overview of the application of audiovisual-based technology in the lives of children as a means of play which will be continously developing and highly attractive to children. The results show that the use of audiovisual media in improving children's speaking skill in the learning process in kindergartens is still in the low category compared to other learning methods such as storytelling, conversation and role playing. This is because, based on the finding, teachers are still lacking in providing varied learning media and the use of audiovisual media is still limited, this is due to various obstacles including the availability of infrastructure and the teacher's ability in applying audiovisual media is still limited.
