- Abstract This Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities with the topic of writing research proposals with a mixed approach was carried out in the English Language Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Makassar State University. The participants were twenty -eight (28) English students of Parepare campus who had registered to take part in the training. The purpose of this activity is to: a) increase the knowledge and insight of training students in making or compiling research proposals and final reports based on mixed research (b) mixed methods research, b) increasing their knowledge and skills in making research proposal designs using a mixed research approach (mixed methods research), c) increase their knowledge in terms of selection of appropriate research instruments based on a combination of methods used, d) increase their knowledge and skills about data collection by using a mixed research approach (mixed methods research) and e) increase their knowledge of how to analyze data using a mixed methods research approach. The methods of conducting training are lectures, discussions, questions and answers and performance. This method is implemented for a group of 28 students and then monitoring and evaluation is held. The results of the training showed the enthusiasm of the trainees which led to an increase in their ability to make research proposals using the Mixed Methods approach.
