The type of research used in this&#xD; study is true experimental designs in the form of post-test only control group design. The&#xD; population of the study were all students of grade VIII at SMPN 2 Sungguminasa which&#xD; consisted of 11 classes. The research sample was determined by using the cluster double&#xD; random sampling technique, 2 experimental classes were chosen. Students in the two classes&#xD; were divided into field-dependent cognitive style students and field-independent cognitive&#xD; style students as the samples in this study. Data collection methods used in this study were&#xD; tests and observations.
