The participation of fish farmers in conserving mangrove in kabupaten pangkep. This study aims to determine the participation of fish farmers in conserving mangrove forests in kabupaten pangkep. The populations are 785 people. Sampling applied by random sampling with 117 people. Technique of collecting data obtained by interview and questionnaire guidelines. The result of the research are: (1) generally, the education level of fish farmers are senior high school, with 54 people (46,2%) of the overall samples. (2) The income level of fish farmers generally occurred in moderate category, with 71 people (60,7%) of the overall samples. (3) ownership status of the farm is generally proprietary, with 108 people (92,3%) of the overall samples. (4) the participation of fish farmers in conserving mangrove forests in kabupaten pangkep are good enough, with 47 people (40,2%) of the overall samples, and (5) Value Fcount (776,241) > Ftabel (2,68) with dk = N-3 = 117-3 = 114 at 5% significance level which means the educational level (X1), the income level (X2), the ownership status of the fish farmers (X3) heve effect and a positive relationship to the participation of fish farmers in conserving mangrove forests in kabupaten pangkep.
