- Abstract This research is a survey research on mural work done through observation by using assessment instrument. The purpose of the study as follows (1)To describe the characteristics of murals in Mannuruki IV Lorong Mannuruki Subdistrict Tamalate District. (2)To get artistic mural value at Mannuruki IV Lorong Mannuruki Subdistrict Tamalate Subdistrict. Observation and Documentation Research Methods. Data Analysis Techniques in this study after the data collected, then the data is processed properly according to the facts that exist in the field based on photo documentation and assessment format. The results showed that the mural in the aisle IV mannuruki has each character and artistic quality of its own. The mural is based on the observations made in the cultivation of skewed on decorative style with brilliant color. Conclusion (1)Characteristics of murals in Mannuruki Mannuruki Subdistrict Mannuruki Subdistrict Tamalate District has its own character, 5 works of realist-style murals, 21 decorative-style murals, 1 piece of surrealist style and 1 minimalist style masterpiece. (2)The artistic quality of the mural in Mannuruki IV Subdistrict Mannuruki Subdistrict Tamalate Sub District is quite good, it is based on the observation and assessment of the lecturers by seeing the work of good mural there are 24 mural works and have adequate artistic quality. Based on the assessment there are 4 works that are not yet fulfilled the good artistic quality. Keywords: Mural, Characteristic, artistic.
