Muliati and Chairil Anwar&#xD; Korompot).&#xD; The objective of this research was to find out the grammatical errors and&#xD; the most frequent errors made by students of English Education Study Program,&#xD; State University of Makassar, in the structure and written expression section of&#xD; ELTIC. This research employed a descriptive research method with quantitative&#xD; and qualitative data. Students&#x2019; answer sheets and ELTIC test in the structure and&#xD; written expression section were used to find out the grammatical errors and the&#xD; most frequent errors made by students. 30 students of English Department State&#xD; University of Makassar were randomly chosen as the participants of this study.&#xD; The findings showed that students make errors for each grammatical points of&#xD; structure covered in the test. The most frequent error is on Present Participles or&#xD; Past Participles after Be with the frequency of error was 21 participants and the&#xD; percentage of error was 70%.
