- ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know model development needs academic supervision based on performance assessment at teachers of elementary school where in (valid, practical, effective). With implementation model development academic supervision, and increasing their ability and understanding in supervision, this research will be achieved in avalaible academic supervision and devices (guideline book). To be achieved in this research will using development model by Borg and Gall (1983:775-776) in 10 steps. Based on 10 steps in Sukmadinata (2006:176) was modification in steps in research and development, they are (1) previous study as needs and contens analysis, (2) developing as design, development, and evaluation, (3) the effectiveness of product as semi-sumative evaluation. To know the needs academic supervision based on performance assesment will collecting data in the teachers and head of school in Gowa district.
