- The research explains about the elements of eco-lexicon, metaphor, and maritime myth of Lamaholot in Bahinga Flores Timur through the eco-linguistics perspective. The aims of this research are to find out the eco-lexicon of maritime, metaphor and myth and also to find out the knowledge of Bahinga community about the varieties of lexicon, metaphor, and maritime myth. Research approaches in this research are quantitative-qualitative approach. Data retrieved by using observation, interview, and questioner technique for getting the accurate data of lexicon, metaphor, and maritime myth. The results show that first, there are approximately 87 basic words of noun, 24 phrases, and 16 lexicons of verb “fishing”. Second, there are 18 lexicons where correlated to metaphors and myth which those consist of the three social praxis dimensions. Third, the knowledge of the varieties of lexicon, metaphor, and maritime myth in Bahinga village divided into three age categories. The results indicate that old category is 76% up (know exactly), adult category is 51%-76% (know), and teenager category is 26% - 50% (rather know).
