- The historical development in Indonesian archipelago art culture frame will not released from great kingdom in Indonesia. Majapahit as one of great kingdom in history might succedeed in uniting its country, also had role in Indonesian archipelago art culture development i.e. Majapahit ornament. One of epic ornament was “Surya Majapahit”. This ornament was believed as symbol of Majapahit kingdom. Others believed as life reminder. Learning and experiencing form and meaning of ornament, were required knowledge, skill and extended time. These are because of many aspects of ornamnets i.e kind, motif, desaign, characterization, value or meaning behind its shape, description technique, and different application. Surya Majapahit was also had unique and various complex visual included shape of image, naming of image part, and meaning. One of the importance substances was education of meaning behind the shape that accepted and understanded properly. Ornament existence in every building particularly holy building had statement and theory that was concluded as proponent society in their period.
