- Traditional music from Java (Karawitan) Indonesian bedhaya dance, has a distinctive feature. Namely the sindhénan vocal technique with metric rhythms which presented together (choir) by a group of female and male vocalist (sinden bedhaya). There is a rhyme on Sindhénan Bedaya. We could found the unique characteristic in sindhénan Bedhaya's Ela-ela. There are seven couplet of sindhénan Bedhaya Ela-ela that has series of stories from the story of "Bima Suci". The problem of this research is how sindhénan bedhaya's lyrics and the meaning contained in sindhénan Bedhaya Ela-ela in Bima Suci's story. The purpose of this research is to analyze sindhénan Bedhaya Ela-ela and to conceive the meaning contained in the song literature from the lyrics of sindhénan Bedhaya Ela-ela. This study used qualitative research methods. Text data obtained is understood as a form of musical presentation (song) that captured by the senses (audio or audio-visual). Therefore, the lyrics of sindhénan Bedhaya Ela-ela are made as musical text that can be read and used as research data, forms of interpretation, and in-depth interviews. The result to be achieved are the researchers can understands the structure of gendhing Bedhaya Elaela's interpretation and the lyrics of Sindhénan bedhaya Ela-ela. Hereinafter is the meaning of Dewa Ruci's story that contained inside sindhénan Bedhaya Ela-ela's lyrics: 1) The lyrics in the Merong section; 2) The lyrics in the Inggah section; 3) The lyrics in the Ketawang section; and 4) reading the story of Dewa Ruci in Bedhaya Ela-ela lyrics.
