- This- research aims to asses the effect of trade liberalization towards the welfare of the economy's participants of rice. The results of the research indicates: (1) Imple¬mentation of one-side liberalization conducted by Indonesia that was not followed by the other countries has better off the welfare of consumer and worsened off the welfare of rice producers. (2) The law of one price policy as the consequences of trade liberalization has brought about a positive impact on rice economy. It creates positive changes of net economic surplus for rice economy.
