  • This paper described recent research and development on the utilization of sago starch for the production of food, feed, and various novel products at the Faculty of Technology, Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, Indonesia. From about 45 studies on the utilization of sagopalm carried out during 1980 – 1992, about 20 studies are reported in this paper. Up to the present, some comprehensive studies are on the run, to improve the characteristics of the products, and to figure out the feasibility of product manufacturing, both technically and economically.
