  • In the development of livestock in Garut Regency, it is important to understand factors influencing its improvement including land use, feed availability, environment, animals, and social cultural of the local farmers. The aim of this study was to assess the potency of buffalo development in two villages of Garut namely Bojong and Cibunar. Each village has its own characteristics as follow Bojong is located at the altitude of 1100 m above sea lives with greater area of rice fields, and mechanization has been existed in the village; where as Cibunar is located at the altitude of 600 In above sea level, and buffalo are mostly used as draught animal for ploughing rice fields.
