Kata Kunci: Pendapat Siswa, Pembelajaran Apresiasi Seni Rupa Pada Pelajaran Seni Budaya. Apresiasi Seni merupakan suatu proses sadar yang dilakukan seseorang dalam menghargai dan memahami karya seni. Mengapresiasi adalah sebuah proses untuk menafsirkan sebuah makna yang terkandung dalam karya seni (Bahari, 2008:148). Pembelajaran Seni Budaya, aktivitas apresiasi dan ekspresi seni merupakan kompetensi yang harus dicapai karena tercantum sebagai Standart Kompetensi dan Kompetensi Dasar. Jadi kedua kompetensi tersebut harus terjabar di setiap RPP (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran). Pada hakekatnya kompetensi pembelajaran Seni Budaya yang berupa Apresiasi Seni, adalah suatu kompetensi yang harus dikuasai dan diterapkan oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran Seni Budaya. Berdasarkan latar belakang di atas, maka penelitian tentang pelaksanaan kompetensi dasar apresiasi Seni Budaya di SMP Negeri 13 Malang ini dirasa perlu untuk dilaksanakan, dengan mengambil judul: ‘Pendapat Siswa Tentang Pembelajaran Apresiasi Seni Rupa Pada Pelajaran Seni Budaya Siswa Kelas VII-C di SMPN 13 Malang’. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pendapat siswa terhadap pembelajaran apresiasi Seni Rupa pada pelajaran Seni Budaya siswa kelas VII-C di SMPN 13 Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode penelitian kuantitatif digunakan untuk meneliti populasi dan sampel tertentu, pengumpulan datanya menggunakan instrumen penelitian, analisis data bersifat kuantitatif atau statistik. Bersifat deskriptif karena hanya bertujuan untuk menggambarkan data apa adanya secara statistik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini, bahwa: (a) seluruh siswa kelas VII-C di SMP Negeri 13 Malang menganggap pembelajaran Seni Budaya penting dan menarik (b) sebagian besar siswa kelas VII-C di SMP Negeri 13 Malang sudah memahami kegiatan dan pembelajaran apresiasi seni rupa. Dan sebagian kecil siswa belum memahami pembelajaran apresiasi seni rupa karena, siswa masih merasa kesulitan memaknai maksud dari karya seni yang diamati, (c) seluruh siswa kelas VII-C di SMP Negeri 13 Malang tertarik dan merasa senang jika hasil karyanya di apresiasi oleh orang lain, siswa juga memiliki keinginan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam makna atau arti dari karya seni yang diapresiasi. Art Appreciation is a concious process done by a person in order to appreciate and understand the art work. Therefore, appreciating is a process to sense a meaning in the particular art work (Bahari, 2008: 148). Moreover, the learning of Art and Culture, the activity of appreciation, and the expression of art are the competences that should be achieved by learners since those competences are stated in the Standard of Competence and Basic Competence that are clearly explained in the Lesson Plan (RPP). Basically, the learners should master the competence of appreciation for art in the Art and Culture subject because based on the activity of art appreciation, the learners are expected to enhance feeling, emotion, and creativity. Thus, appreciation of art is an activity of enjoying and comprehending of the art work. Based on the previous background, this study is aimed at describing the implementation of Basic Competence of art appreciation in the Art and Culture subject in the SMPN 13 Malang. Hence, the title is: Students’s Opinion Toward the Learning of Art Appreciation for Art and Culture Subject of VII C Class in SMPN 13 Malang. The aim of this research is to know the students’ opinion toward the learning of art appreciation for Art and Culture subject of VII C class in SMPN 13 Malang.This research uses descriptive qualitative research. This qualitative method is based on positivism philosophy in order to examine the certain population and sample. The data are gathered by using research instruments, qualitative data analysis or statistics. Therefore, the aim of this descriptive research is to describe the data statisticaly. The result of the reseach showed that the students’ interests of VII C Class covers: (a) Students are opinion to the Art and Culture learning, (b) Students are opinion to the Art, (c) Students are opinion to the art appreciation learning. Based on the result of the research, the students of VII C class have good opinion toward the learning of art appreciation in the Art and Culture subject. Furthermore, it is advisable for the teacher and school in order to motivate students by supporting facilities and equipments for art activity. Therefore, by enhancing the students’ creativity, it is expected to gain students’ opinion and motivation to the art activity.
