The subjects of this research were the students of VIII G in SMPN 2 Mojokerto at the even semester of 2013/2014 academic year. There were 34 students in the class. There were some steps of teaching in using picture sequences to improve students’ writing skill. First, the researcher gave a model of narrative text that was made by using picture sequences. Second, the researcher asked the students to observe the pictures. Third, the researcher asked the students to make an outline based on the pictures given. Fourth, the students developed their ideas into the paragraph. The students also liked using picture sequences in the writing activity. The students were interested to make a narrative text based on the pictures in a picture sequences. Based on the findings, English teachers are expected to adopt the picture sequences as the media for writing. The teachers are also suggested to implement picture sequences in the teaching and learning process. The researcher hopes that the future researchers can conduct a research by using many kinds of other media to give more references to use in teaching and learning activity. It is suggested to use picture sequences in other genre, such as recount text and procedure text. .
