Tatok Sugiarto ,S.Pd, M.Pd Kata Kunci : Hubungan, daya ledak otot lengan, tolak peluru, gaya menyamping.Salah satu bagian dari nomor lempar adalah tolak peluru, Untukmemperoleh hasil tolak peluru yang baik diantaranya ditentukan oleh teknik dankondisi fisik yang bagus. Hasil tolak peluru ditentukan oleh beberapa unsurkondisi fisik yaitu unsur daya ledak otot lengan, kecepatan melempar, dankekuatan. Dari beberapa unsur kondisi fisik tersebut, daya ledak otot lenganmerupakan salah satu faktor yang penting dalam kemampuan tolak peluru,dikarenakan daya ledak otot lengan dipergunakan untuk menolak peluru pada saatmelakukan tolakan, yang menentukan jauhnya tolakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) hubungan yangsignifikan antara daya ledak otot lengan dengan kemampuan tolak peluru gayamenyamping (2) untuk mengetahui besarnya sumbangan variabel daya ledak ototlengan dengan kemampuan tolak peluru gaya menyamping siswa putra kelas XITeknik Otomasi Industri SMK PGRI Singosari Malang. Rancangan penelitian yang dipakai adalah rancangan survei berbentukkorelasional. Dari populasi sebanyak 40 siswa diambil sampel 90% yaitu 36 siswadengan teknik purposive sistematics proportional randome sampling. Instrumenpenelitian menggunakan instrumen tes berupa tes daya ledak otot lengan dan testolak peluru gaya menyamping. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknikpengukuran bentuk tes fisik yaitu tes tolak peluru tanpa awalan untuk daya ledakotot lengan dan tes tolak peluru gaya menyamping. Data yang terkumpuldianalisis dengan menggunakan statistika inferensial berupa uji r, dan dilanjutkandengan uji lanjut berupa uji t. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai r sebesar 0, 667, dan dibandingkandengan rtabel (α 0,05) sebesar 0,329. Nilai rhitunghitung > r berarti ada hubungan antaravariabel bebas dan terikat. Hasil analisis uji t diperoleh hasil ttabelhitung 5,22 dan t(α0,05) sebesar 1.69 sehingga ada hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel dayaledak otot lengan dengan kemampuan tolak peluru gaya menyamping. Besarnyasumbangan efektifitas sebesar 44,5%. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antaradaya ledak otot lengan dengan kemampuan tolak peluru gaya menyamping (α0,05). Saran bagi guru di SMK PGRI Singosari Malang untuk lebih menekankanlatihan daya ledak otot lengan untuk memperoleh hasil tolakan yang maksimal. tabel ABSTRAK Awud. 2016. Shot put results aredetermined by some the physical condition , namely explosive power of armmuscle, throwing speed, and strength. From some elements of physical condition,explosive power of arm muscles is one important factor in the ability of shot put.Due to the explosive power of arm muscles used to reject a bullet at the time ofrepulsion, which determines the repulsion away. The purpose of this study was to determine (1) a significant relationshipbetween the explosive power of the arm muscles with the ability to ortodoks shotputstyle (2) to determine the variable contribution of explosive power of armmuscles to the ability to ortodoks shot-put style of male students class XIIndustrial Automation Engineering SMK PGRI Singosari Malang. Research design used shaped correlational survey design. A population of40 students were taken samples of 90% which is 36 students with purposivesistematics proportional randome sampling. The research instrument in the formof tests using the test instrument explosive power arm muscles and test shot putsideways style. Collecting data using measurement techniques form the physicaltest is a test shot-put without leading to explosive power arm muscles and test shotput sideways style.Data were analyzed using inferential statistics such as r test,followed by a further test such as t test. The analysis showed the value of rcount of 0, 667, and compared with r (α 0.05) as 0.329. Value of rcount > r means there is a relationship betweenindependent and dependent variables. The results of the analysis of the t testobtained tcount result of 5.22 t and ttable (α 0.05) amounted to 1.69 so there is asignificant relationship between the variables of explosive power of arm muscleswith the ability to shot-put style sideways. The effectiveness of the contribution is44.5%. he results of the study concluded that there is a significant relationshipbetween the explosive power of the arm muscles with the ability to shot-put stylesideways (α 0.05). Advice for teachers at SMK PGRI Singosari Malang to emphasize the explosive power training arm muscles to gain maximum repulsion.
