- AbstractThe research has identified authority of Makassar local government in management oftraditional market for two periods that decrease its quality rather than modern market.Makassar government authority has influenced to empowerment of Terong market. Theresearch used qualitative with collecting data comparatively. The result is that authority oflocal government for two periods in management of Terong market is not only hassimilarities, in authority of attribution that refers to regulation or in impact’s authority suchas Terong Market revitalization, but also has differences on authority of delegation, suchas devolvement of authority toward the unit that manage it.
