- Reading poetry teaching activity take places as an activity without an improvement. Reading poetry teaching activity is still dominated by teacher, while the students' activity is less signalized, teacher's various in teaching reading poetry is very limited so that the teaching is less interesting, giving reinforcement whether verbal manner or non verbal to the students not thoroughly done by the teacher, and the material is still limited to a hand book. Thereby, needed a strategy which can improve or increase teaching reading poetry activity, so that the poem is being and received the students as one thing can be enjoyed and interesting. By this simulation strategy expected can arise the smoothness and easiness in expressing a poem. This verification aims (1) describe using process creative simulation strategy to improve reading poetry ability of fifth grade of Makassar Minasa Upa SDN and (2) the result of creative simulation strategy is to improve reading poetry ability of fifth grade students of Makassar Minasa Upa SDN. The plan is used in this verification is action verification plan. The action plan in this verification shaped teaching action plan which covers aim, material, procedure and reading poetry teaching evaluation through creative simulation strategy. Data of this verification are (1) the process data in using creative simulation strategy is to improve reading poetry ability by accurate subject and the fifth grade teacher of elementary; and (2) the process data in using creative simulation strategy is to improve reading poetry ability such as reading poetry activity of fifth grade students. Collecting the data is done by participatory observation is realized by giving attention and tape verbal action and non verbal action learner- teacher in teaching in the classroom with data collecting instruments. Furthermore collected data analyzed with analysis model: collecting data, analyze data, and data analyze reflection. According to action process data analysis, can be concluded that generally the using of creative simulation strategy to improve reading poetry ability covers first activity, main activity, and final activity. First teaching activity of reading poetry by creative simulation strategy begun the teacher by doing apperception-related daily activity with teaching theme, arise the students' spirit learning by inviting to sing and gives the explanation about learning process reading poetry which will be done. Main activity started by the teacher shows reading poetry by giving attention to stress pronunciation and exact intonation followed the full comprehension movement and expression. Students are guided to read poetry in deep heart, together, and groups, and give direction of reading poetry well by giving attention to stress pronunciation and intonation (voice, beat, tone and rest) in poetry text. Teachers simulate a movement without word and movement with voice is escorted music by giving attention to performance, movement, expression, and full comprehension, students are guided reading poetry followed by gesture, teachers train students to do movement simulation practicing without word and movement with voice escorted music and reading poetry practicing, students show or express the poetry in front of class, and discuss their impression to the poem. In learning final activity, teacher with students conclude learning activity which had been done and give enforcement of students' performance by praise and giving a gift, and motivate students to keep practicing in improving expression poetry ability and withdraw the conclusion about manner and technique of expression poetry well. Generally, reading poetry ability increased to most students show performance/preparation of physic and way of thinking of students have been better raised in expression poetry, pronunciation and intonation (voice, beat, tone, and rest) when the students read the poetry well. Seriousness, appropriateness, participation and movement way accord to the text of poetry increase well in doing movement simulation without word and move with voice escorted the music, students are able to arise expression and full comprehension in expression a poetry. Most of the students give comment and suggestion and share experience about the manner of expression poetry to the students who has difficulties in expression poetry. The improvement result reading poetry ability by creative simulation strategy accord to quantitative data analysis per reading poetry ability aspect shows that for high group students have very good qualification (86%) hi the first cycle, while the second cycle increase to be 100% with indicator: thoroughly reading poetry ability aspect is very good. Middle group students who has qualification good (76%) in the first cycle, while the second cycle increase to be 85% with very good qualification by the indicator performance physic and way of thinking aspect and pronunciation and intonation is very good, while gesture, and expression/full comprehension is good under group student who has qualification the least (41%) in the first cycle, increase to be 69% with enough qualification in the second cycle by indicator performance/preparation physic and way of thinking is good, gesture, and expression/full comprehension is enough, while the aspect is still less is pronunciation and intonation. Accord to the verification's conclusion, suggested to: (1) teachers of elementary fifth grade to use the discovering reading poetry learning by creative simulation strategy as an operational reference in designing reading poetry learning and Indonesia language ability learning; and utilize verification procedure to do class action verification as the way in improving and increasing Indonesia language ability learning specially reading poetry ability, (2) lecture or teacher team of Indonesia language in PGSD for doing lecturing reading poetry learning so that the students university of elementary teacher prospective is full of skill and creative in reading poetry in elementary, and (3) other researchers plan same verification with wider scale whether aspect matter literature ability aspect, school grade, or class grade in elementary.
