Similarly, if requested to ask, they were not willing to raise their hands but they love to talk with friends in his side in the classroom. Besides learning outcomes achieved some students on economic subjects is still lacking, SKM has not met the applicable, SMP Negeri 3 Stone is 75. Of the total 7 classes, the percentage of completeness in the classical classroom learning 8b lower compared with other classes in economics class (based on analysis of the class 8a-8g on material scarcity). The classification of the class in Junior High School 3 Stone random seed means no class. To solve the problem of learning strategies are needed that can improve student learning outcomes. Learning strategies are applied in this study is a model of cooperative learning Think Pair Share (TPS). This learning has established procedures to explicitly give students more time to think, respond, and help each other. When a question posed to all students, every student has equal opportunity to think about answers to questions before reported to the group. This study aims to determine the increase in economy class student learning outcomes 8b SMP Negeri 3 stone through the implementation of cooperative learning model TPS. This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of two cycles. The research data in the form of students' cognitive learning results obtained through the scores of tests conducted each end of the cycle. Results showed that students' cognitive learning results increased by 23.54% from the average value of the previous 50.78% to 74.12% in cycle 1 and cycle II increased by 16.56% from an average of 67, 81% to 84.37%. Affective learning outcomes was obtained from observations of the affective aspects of the assessment rubric made during learning activities, in a number of observations on the cycle I the average value was 58.8% in cycle II increased by 80.1% . it increased 21.3% . So we can conclude the cognitive aspects of learning cycle I, the student has not reached completeness in the classical study because the amount of the value obtained is still below 80%. While in the second cycle, students have reached completeness in the classical study because the number of values obtained more than 80%. So it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning TPS model can improve student learning outcomes, the affective aspects of learning cycle I to cycle II, there is increasing 21.3% points and the assessment of affective aspects of cycle II is higher than in cycle I. Due to an increase in the students already understand the learning procedure that uses a cooperative learning model TPS during the learning process.
